Get on the Energy Bus! This year we are focused K-12 on Jon Gordon's The Energy Bus for students and staff. The book outlines ten principles for living a more positive and fulfilling life. Here are the ten principles:
You're the Driver of the Bus: You have control over your own destiny and happiness.
Desire, Vision, and Focus Move Your Bus in the Right Direction: Set clear goals and maintain focus to achieve your desired outcomes.
Fuel Your Ride with Positive Energy: Surround yourself with positive influences and maintain a positive outlook.
Invite People on Your Bus and Share Your Vision for the Road Ahead: Build strong relationships and inspire others to join you on your journey.
Don't Waste Your Energy on Those Who Don't Get on Your Bus: Avoid negative people who drain your energy.
Post a Sign That Says "No Energy Vampires Allowed" on Your Bus: Set boundaries and protect yourself from negativity.
Enthusiasm Attracts More Passengers and Energizes Them During the Ride: Share your passion and enthusiasm with others to inspire them.
Love Your Passengers: Treat everyone with kindness and respect.
Drive with Purpose: Live your life with intention and meaning.
Have Fun and Enjoy the Ride: Embrace the journey and appreciate the experiences along the way.
These principles provide a framework for creating a positive and fulfilling life by focusing on positivity, relationships, and personal growth.
We will be focusing on a different principle each month and the one for September is number 2--Desire, Vision, and Focus Move Your Bus in the Right Direction: Set clear goals and maintain focus to achieve desired outcomes.
For K-6, a student who exhibits the selected qualities from the Energy Bus focus will be selected as the student of the month for each classroom. The K-6 selections will be made at the end of September. For grades 7-12, staff members are acknowledging students who are creating a positive environment by placing comments on a South Heart Eagle around the Energy Bus in the hallway across from Mr. Hoffman’s office.
Grades 7-12--Check out the “Eagles” for students who are contributing to our positive culture!
We are looking forward to a great 2024-2025 school year!
