Kindergarten registration for the 2023-24 school year will be on March 27, 2023 from 3:30pm-5:00pm. Your child must be 5 by August 1, 2023 to start Kindergarten in the fall. Good evening, Due to drifting road conditions in rural areas again, South Heart School will again have a late start tomorrow. Buses will run 2 hours late, arriving at school at about 10:00 am. School will start at 10:15 am. No breakfast will be served. Staff are asked to arrive by 10:00 am. Rural bus route families are again asked to contact your route driver if you have concerns about accessibility to your farms and ranches. Road conditions will be checked again early in the morning. If road conditions are such that school has to be canceled entirely, a message will be sent out by approximately 6:00 am. Otherwise, please plan for the late start tomorrow. Thank you, Mr. Dean

There is a Hunter Safety Education Class Sign-Up Sheet at the office. You must have been born before November 1, 2012 to take this course. The course will be held in Belfield in the basement of Choice Financial Bank starting on March 21. Please see the office for more information and a schedule. Future City is raising money for their trip to Washington, DC. On Saturday, February 4 and February 11, they will be hosting a bake sale during the double header basketball games in South Heart.
If anyone would like to donate to Future City, they can make the checks payable to South Heart School with Future City in the memo or attach a note saying it is for Future City. Checks can be mailed to the school - PO Box 159, South Heart, ND 58655.

Good evening everyone. As you all know, prior to Christmas break, South Heart School was canceled for 5 days due to snow storms. Last night at the South Heart School Board meeting, the Board decided to make up 4 of these days. Therefore school will be in session on February 20, March 16, March 17, and April 10. At this time, the 5th day will not be made up unless further cancelations occur as this 5th day can be absorbed by the extra time beyond state requirements that we have in our school calendar. Please note that 4 additional days have also been added for pre-school on February 20, March 16, April 6, and April 10.
