This Saturday, April 1, is the Region 10 Vocal Festival that is being held this year at Trinity HS. We have several performances - large group, small ensembles, and solos - that will be performing throughout the day.
If you are looking for some wonderful entertainment on what looks to be a beautiful Saturday, come hear our students sing! Our choir will perform in Trinity's chapel at 11:05 am and the small group schedule is below:

The students have put in a lot of time practicing, so please wish them luck!
Several of our high school students attended a Math Competition at Dickinson State University on Wednesday, March 22 and they did an amazing job! In Algebra, Kieva Brock placed 4th and Molly Robb placed 3rd. In Geometry, Hannah Hoff placed 3rd and Molly Robb placed 1st. Reagan Krump won the 2nd place overall senior award, receiving a $500 per year scholarship to DSU. Molly Robb won the 1st overall junior award, receiving a $750 per year scholarship to DSU. Congratulations ladies!
Please help us re-stock our local food pantry by donating to our 2nd Annual Food Drive, sponsored by Student Council the South Heart Lions Club. All items donated will go to the Amen Food Pantry and will help fill the Little Free Pantry built by South Heart School shop students which will be coming soon. There is also a drop off place at the Heart Country C-Store for donations. Thank you for your help and generosity! The Food Drive has been extended through Friday, March 31.
Good afternoon everyone. High winds are obviously causing deteriorating road conditions, including very icy roads and drifting. As such, the DOT has just issued a no travel advised in our area. Kindergarten registration for the 2023-24 school year will be on March 27, 2023 from 3:30pm-5:00pm. Your child must be 5 by August 1, 2023 to start Kindergarten in the fall. Please bring a copy of your child's official birth certificate and immunization record. If you have any questions, please call the school at 701-677-5671.

Good evening, Due to drifting road conditions in rural areas again, South Heart School will again have a late start tomorrow. Buses will run 2 hours late, arriving at school at about 10:00 am. School will start at 10:15 am. No breakfast will be served. Staff are asked to arrive by 10:00 am. Rural bus route families are again asked to contact your route driver if you have concerns about accessibility to your farms and ranches. Road conditions will be checked again early in the morning. If road conditions are such that school has to be canceled entirely, a message will be sent out by approximately 6:00 am. Otherwise, please plan for the late start tomorrow. Thank you, Mr. Dean

There is a Hunter Safety Education Class Sign-Up Sheet at the office. You must have been born before November 1, 2012 to take this course. The course will be held in Belfield in the basement of Choice Financial Bank starting on March 21. Please see the office for more information and a schedule. Future City is raising money for their trip to Washington, DC. On Saturday, February 4 and February 11, they will be hosting a bake sale during the double header basketball games in South Heart.
If anyone would like to donate to Future City, they can make the checks payable to South Heart School with Future City in the memo or attach a note saying it is for Future City. Checks can be mailed to the school - PO Box 159, South Heart, ND 58655.
